However, Dr. Frankenstein?s creation chases him constantly, seeking revenge. This novel by Mary Shelley represents a metaphor about life, freedom and love. Frankenstein is considered an early example of science fiction, and it has considerable influence in literature and popular culture, as it spawned a complete genre of horror stories, films and plays.
